Heat wave claims 15 lives in MP
Bhopal, June 12(UNI) Heat wave lashing northern part of Madhya Pradesh has so far claimed at least 19 lives with two more people dying of Sun stroke in the past 24 hours, officials said today.
With mercury soaring ahead of monsoon break in the state, Datia recorded the highest day temperature of 48 degree Celsius yesterday.
Due to heat wave in the past three days, Shivpuri recorded highest death toll of 8, followed by 7 in Sheopur, three in Morena and one in Bhind district.
A 22-year-old youth Dhaniram died of Sun stroke at Fatehpur village of Shivpuri district today, while 68-year-old Myasobai died of heat wave in Sheopur district yesterday.
