Govt appoints Adviser to prepare report on Muslim status

Hyderabad, Jun 12 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh governemnt has appointed P S Krishnan as Advisor to the Department of Backward Classes Welfare, for identifying socially and educationally backward classes among the Muslim community in the state.

According to a press release here, the state commission for backward classes would hold public hearing of all classes among Muslims, who had requested for inclusion in the list of socially and economically backward classes.

The commission had requested all persons to submit their views, opinions, suggestions on this matter.
