GN to unveil 'Jabra' brand in India

New Delhi, June 12 (UNI) To tap the country's burgeoning contact centre industry and office product segments, headset maker GN will launch new products every month under the brand name 'Jabra'.

''We will launch new products every month to consolidate our position in the Indian market,'' GN Regional Managing Director (Emerging Markets, Asia Pacific) Vincent Pena told reporters here today.

Earlier, the company would sell the products as Jabra for mobile segment and as GN Netcom for the contact centre industry.

''We will now leverage only Jabra to market products across the four segments such as contact centre, office, enterprise and mobile to garner higher mindshare and market share for our products,'' Mr Pena added.

The entry level headsets of Jabra will be priced at Rs 1,900, while the stereo headsets at Rs 4,000.

Jabra is set to expand its reach to over 1,500 stores by the year-end for its bluetooth mobile headsets through forays in organised retail formats.

To lead its initiative for achieving its goal, GN has appointed Salora International and Faxtel Systems. Salora international will cater to the markets of North and West, while Faxtel systems will cover the Southern and Eastern markets.

GN has tied up with establised players like Innova Telecom and Avaya Global connect for the contact centre, enterprise and and office products segments, Jabra had made its foray into the Indian market in the second quater of 2005 with its range of hands free mobile products.
