UP: Ganja' worth Rs 8.5 lakh seized, Nepali held

Bahraich, June 12: Police arrested a Nepaliman and recovered 8.5 kg 'ganja' from his possession near Indo-Nepal border here today.

The consignment was estimated to be of Rs 8.5 lakh in the international market.

Acting on a tip-off about the presence of a smuggler, cops reached the spot and nabbed Sakoon Gurang of Nepal.

On being frisked, 8.5 kg 'ganja' was recovered from him, police said yesterday.

Interrogation was on.
