Fault with G O 746 issued by state govt: Seshagiri Rao

Hyderabad, June 12 (UNI) S V Seshagiri Rao finds fault with the G O 746 issued by the Andhra Pradesh government on June two, 2007, for not specifying the geographical domain of the seven hills of the Lord Venkateswara.

He said in a press release today that the TTD specified authority adopted a resolution (number 285) on June 2006, demarcating the boundaries of Tirumala covering all the seven sacred hills. The resolution also stated that the total area of the Lord's domain was 332 sq km.

Alleging that the state government had proved again that it was not sincere in respecting the sentiments of Hindus, regarding the inclusion of seven hills in the administrative set up of Tirumala, Prof Rao demanded that the G O 746 should be modified immediately, incorporating the resoltuion adopted by TTD.
