Call money remains steady, closes at 3.00 per cent
Mumbai, June 12 (UNI) Call money rates hovered around 2.25-3.25 per cent and remain unchanged to close at 3.00 per cent today compared to the previous close of 3.00-3.25 per cent.
During the day, the call rates touched a high of 3.25 per cent and a low of 2.25 per cent.
The liquidity was tightened in the market due to the flush out of Rs 26,000 crore from the market, dealers said.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) auctioned bonds worth Rs 8,000 crore in the day. In coming week, the central bank will auction Rs 25,000 crore from the system, which will further tighten the market.
Intra bank rates traded firmly in the day, dealers added.
