Azad seeks power for industrialisation of J

Srinagar, Jun 12 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today stressed the importance of power availability in the state for faster development and industrialisation.

Mr Azad said this at a meeting with Union Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde who called on him here today.

The two leaders discussed matters related to the power scenario in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of power availability in Jammu and Kashmir for fast economic development and industrialisation.

He also identified areas where central assistance could boost generation and transmission. Mr Azad expressed gratitude for liberal central assistance to the state especially in the power sector.
