Auto scrips dip amid concerns of hike in fuel prices
Mumbai, June 12 (UNI) Auto pivotals today declined on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) amid fears that the sales may be negatively impacted as the Union Government is likely to review retail prices of petrol and diesel in mid-July this year to bring them in line with the recent rise in global oil prices, market analysts said.
Consequently, Tata Motors slipped by 1.66 per cent to Rs 641, Maruti Udyog slumped by 2.20 per cent to Rs 717.90, Bajaj Auto was down by 0.32 per cent to Rs 2112, and Mahindra&Mahindra tanked by 3.08 per cent to Rs 696.50.
