A soldier killed and 3 wounded in north Kashmir encounter

Baramulla, June 12 (UNI) A soldier was killed and three others were injured in a fierce fighting between security forces and militants in the frontier district of Kupwara today.

Official sources said militants attacked a security force patrol party at Gagal, Kupwara, in north Kashmir this afternoon.

They also retaliated and in the fierce clash a soldier was killed and three others were wounded.

Later, reinforcement was rushed to the area from different nearby camps.

A massive hunt has been launched to eliminate the militants, they added.
