Youth held for kidnap of minor girl

Akola, June 11 (UNI) Akola police today said they have arrested a youth for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl from Khadaki area near here.

The youth, Vivek Vishnav, a resident of village Nandgaon Khandeshwar in Amravati district, was arrested on Saturday. He had kidnapped the minor girl about five to six days ago on the pretext of marrying her. When Vivek was questioned, he admitted that he had an affair with the girl but denied that he kidnapped her, police said today.

The minor, however, is not traceable, police added.
