Yamunanagar power project to have trained staff

Yamunanagar, June 11 (UNI) The upcoming Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Project Yamunanagar will have properly trained technical staff to run the plant smoothly.

The Haryana Power Generation Corporation (HPGC) has planned to select some engineers and technical staff members for posting in this project. ''They will be sent to the best training institutes in India as well as China to have the training,'' HPGC Managing Director Jyoti Arora said today.

However, it would be ensured that the staff having more than five years to serve would be sent for training so that their services were utilised in a proper way at the project, she said while reviewing the progress of construction activities of the project at the site here today.

She specifically stated that the two power generating units of 300 MW each would be commissioned as per schedule in November, 2007 and February, 2008.
