U T Khader takes oath as MLA

Bangalore, June 11 (UNI) Newly elected Congress Member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Ullal U T Khader took oath today.

Assembly Speaker Krishna administered the oath of secrecy and he took oath in the name of God.

Later talking to newspersons, Mr Khader said he would strive for the development of the constituency and the people without hurting the sentiments of the communities.

Replying to a question, he said he would not promise any new projects and programmes in view of the coalition government headed by JD(S)-BJP and "its inadequate cooperation".

Mr Khader also complained of non-availability of funds for construction of wall to prevent sea erosion in Ullal.
