Two killed in motor bike-truck collision

Akola, June 11 (UNI) Two youths, including a student of Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth (PDKV), were killed when their motor bike collided head-on with a truck near Radhakrishna cinema hall, on national highway No 6.

The deceased -- identified as Manish B Wankhede, student of PDKV, and his friend Nitin Gawande -- were returning to Akola on bike yesterday when the mishap occurred, police said today.

Dean of the college of agricultural engineering Mr Dalvi rushed to the spot immediately.

A case has been registered and the truck driver, Sunil Pawar, has been arrested in this connection, police added.
