Sanguine's net profit up by 65 p c

Chennai, June 11 (UNI) The city-based Sanguine Media Limited, a market leader in providing Rural Marketing Services, TV Software Marketing and Production, Event Management and Voice Translation for Media, has registered a net profit of Rs 180.13 lakhs for the year 2006-07, a 65 per cent jump, when compared to its last year's net profit of Rs 109.30 lakhs.

During 2006-07, Sanguine's total income rose to Rs 1592.81 lakhs from Rs 1327.19 lakhs in the previous year and the diluted Earning Per Share of the company went up to Rs 2.96 from Rs 2.03 and currently the company's shares are traded at Rs 40-45, a company release here said.

Sanguine has allotted 12 lakh shares to individual investors on preferential basis at a premium of Rs 16.65 per share. It has also issued 4,70,000 equity shares on preferential basis to Godavari Ads Pvt Limited for the latter's takeover of business. There is no investor grievance till date, it said.

Commenting about the performance of the company, Mr D V Vinod Gopal, MD and CEO, Sanguine Media, said: "Our main business line of Tele-serials advertisement has been witnessing a 30-35 per cent growth thanks to the increased advertisement expenditure of our customers and growing TV veiwership.

Sanguine had recently floated 'OCTAVVE', a division to cater to the needs of total conversion of music and voice software to broad/telecast media on 3G spectrum, the release said.

OCTAVVE has firmed up contracts with overseas entertainment production houses for transcription and translation of entertainment software into regional languages with full control on Total Quality Management with latest technologies, the release added.
