Ram Awdhesh Singh appointed Member of Backward Classes Commission

New Delhi, Jun 11 (UNI) Former parliamentarian Ram Awdhesh Singh has been nominated as a Member of the National Commission of Backward classes for a three-year term.

The tenure of Mr Singh's new post is with effect from June 8, an official note said today.

Mr Singh had been a member of the Lok Sabha, the Rajya Sabha and the Bihar Legislative Assembly.

He has been actively involved in the activities for the welfare and uplift of backward classes.

UNI
