Rajasthan committed to secure full share in water from Punjab

Bikaner, Jun 11 (UNI) Rajasthan's Minister of State for Agriculture Surendra Singh TT said that the state government was committed to secure due share in waters from Punjab.

Speaking at a function here yesterday, Mr Singh said that Rajaasthan was getting eight million cubic feet less water than its due share.

The minister said that Rajasthan Government was making all efforts to secure due share for the state.

While a petition in this connection was pending before the Supreme Court, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was also making efforts through political channels and was in touch with the Punjab Government over the issue, he said.
