Pranab Mukherjee to visit Shillong

Shillong, June 11 (UNI) External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee will visit Shillong on June 16 to deliver a keynote address on SAARC, BIMSTEC and India's Look East Policy.

Mr Mukherjee will interact with selected academia, thinkers, journalists and writers from the region on June 17, official sources said.

As India is assuming the Chairmanship of SAARC in April 2007, Mr Mukherjee would speak on the SAARC-BIMSTEC relationship and its various facets relating to the Northeastern states.

UNI
