Police to conduct lie-dector tests on 'Godmother'
Junagadh, June 11 (UNI) The Junagadh Police is likely to conduct lie-detector tests on ''Godmother'' Santokben Jadeja, who has been arrested for her alleged involvement in harbouring the prime accused in the iJunagadh rape case.
Junagadh District IG Mohan Jha told UNI here today that the local CID team has decided to conduct led-detector test on Ms Jadeja and has asked the local court to grant the permission for it.
Mr Jha said if the court grants the permission for conducting the test on the ''Godmother'' then she will be taken to Forensic Science Laboratory at Gandhinagar tomorrow.
Yesterday, a local court reminded her into four-days remand to the police custody She was arrested on Saturday on charges of allegedly providing shelter to two prime accused, who had killed a 17-year-old girl and raped another one at Datar shrine on the outskirts of the city on May 13.
Police believe that Santokben had given shelter to the two prime accused-Mohan Hamir and Ramesh alias Bhadu. The police has been questioning her on the basis of the confession of Savita, the sister of prime accused Mohan Hamir, Mr Jha said.
