Out of turn promotion to policemen in J'khand for crime control:Koda
Ranchi, Jun 11 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today said state government would leave no stone unturned to make the state crimeless and policemen would be given out-of-turn promotion for their role in controlling the criminal activities.
Talking to reporters here Mr Koda said all the police officers involved in cracking the bank robbery held on June 7 in the state capital would be given out-of-turn promotion and felicitated on August 15.
More than Rs 1.5 crores were looted from a branch of Syndicate Bank and three miscreants were killed by the police in this connection.
Mr Koda said state government would also recommend the names of those policemen including officer-in-charge of Namkom for the gallantry awards.
He said efforts were also being done to equip the department with latest technological gadgets.
