Newly elected Legislator U T Khader takes oath

Bangalore, June 11 (UNI) Newly elected Congress Member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Ullal Mr U T Khader took oath today.

Assembly Speaker Krishna administered the oath of secrecy.

Mr Khader took oath in the name of God.

Later talking to newsmen Mr Khader said that he would strive for the development of the constituency and the people without hurting the sentiments of the communities.

Replying to a question, he said that he would not promise any new projects and programmes in view of the coalition government headed by JD(S)-BJP and its inadequate cooperation.

Mr Khader also complained of non-availability of funds for construction of wall to prevent sea erosion in Ullal.
