Mangalore records 8 cm rain in the State
Bangalore, June 11 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations record in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.
Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over Interior Karnataka.
Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Mangalore 8.
Chief rainfall amounts: Belthangadi, Thondebhavi 5 each, Karkala, Koratagere, Turuvekere 4 each, Shirali, Honavar, Sedam 3 each; Subramanya, Bhatkal, Bhalki, Bidar 2 each, Mulki, Panambur, Udupi, Kundapur, Kota, Ankola, Karwar, Linganamakki, Thirthahalli, Kottigehara, Srirampura 1 each.
Maximum temperatures changed little and were normal over Interior Karnataka.
Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 36.9 degree Celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at many places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada districts. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over remaining districts of the State.
Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka during next 48 hours.
Local forecast: Partly cloudy. A spell of rain/thundershower likely towards evening/night. Maximum temperature would be around 31 degeree Celsius.
