Maheswari for BJP women morcha at polling booth

Bhubaneswar, Jun 11 (UNI) BJP Mahila Morcha President Kiran Maheswari today said her party would constitute a women morcha at the polling booth level to strengthen the party's women base in the country before the next general elections.

Ms Maheswari, who presided over the state executive of the BJP Mahila Morcha, told newsmen that Gujrat, Maharastra and Rajsthan had already constituted Mahila Morcha up to the polling booth level.

The party, she said, now wanted implement the model in other states too before the elections.

She claimed that BJP was the only party which has ensured women representative in the office bearer posts right from the block and mandal level to the state level.

Ms Maheswari announced that the BJP would organise a nationwide movement against female foeticide and submit signatures one crore people to the President opposing the construction of the Sri Ram Setu.
