Haryana: Spl Lok Adalats to settle bank loan cases

Chandigarh, June 11 (UNI) The Haryana State Legal Services Authority has decided to hold special Lok Adalats on July 28 for the settlement of over 8000 bank loan cases pending in the courts as well as at pre-litigative stage in the state.

A spokesman for the Haryana State Legal Services Authority said that in order to settle such type of cases, the Authority has decided to hold Lok Adalats in all the districts and sub divisional court complexes throughout the state..

The spokesman said any person interested to get his case settled in these lok adalats could move an application to the District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman concerned or Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary and District Legal Services Authority in the district.

He said once a case was decided in the Lok Adalat, no appeal could be made against it. The order of the Lok Adalat would be final and binding on all the parties as it was deemed to be a decree of a Civil Court.
