Girl held for tampering with birth certificate

Anand, Jun 11 (UNI) A girl was arrested for tampering with her birth cerfiticate for securing a passport.

Rachnaben Nikunjbhai Patel of Runn village in Sojitra taluka of the district had changed her birth details in her School leaving certificate from August 29, 1989 to August 29, 1988 so as to show her one year older for seeking a passport.

Sojitra police have registered a case under IPC 465, 466, 468 and 471 and under Passport Act 1967(12B).
