Ganja smuggler arrested from Patna junction

Patna, Jun 11 (UNI) The Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested a smuggler along with 25 kg of ganja from Patna junction today.

Railway police sources said here that GRP, Patna junction officer incharge Alok Kumar Singh received information that a notorious ganja smuggler was carrying the banned substance in huge amount in a passenger train. Acting on a tip off GRP personnels interrogated a person on platform number 2 of Patna junction, who was about to board Delhi bound Sharamjeevi express and was nabbed along with 25 kg of ganja. The seized Ganja is worth Rs 1.5 lakh in the market, sources said.

The nabbed smuggler was running a racket and was involved in supplying the banned substance to various states from Raghupur Diara area in Vaishali district.During interrogation the smuggler admitted that other members of his group were operating in different states.
