CDI posts Rs 8.17 Cr Net Profit in Q4

Mumbai, Jun 11 (UNI) Compact Disc India (CDI), leading player in animation film outsourcing, posted a net profit of Rs 8,17.63 lakh for the quarter ended March 31.

Acquisition of International projects, including USD 20.15 million deal with Los Angels based Motion Pixel Corporation, accelerated CDI's growth in past year, said MD Gautam Seengal in a statement here.

''The strong performance in past fiscal is a culmination of strategic initiatives taken by the company on several fronts notably in areas of acquiring international projects. We are delighted to be leading the animation film outsourcing revolution in India'', he said.

The net revenue grew by 49 per cent to Rs 5,029.09 lakh from the past year margin of Rs 3,353.17 lakh.

The company will co-produce Hollywood animated film 'GoaaaaaL' with a Los Angeles based Motion Pixel Corporation for an estimated cost of USD 20.15 million, said a company release.
