Bomb hoax causes panic in GPO

Hyderabad, June 11 (UNI) A hoax parcel 'bomb' received at the General Post Office (GPO) located in the busy Abids Area of the city today created panic among the public.

Police said postal staff found a parcel on which the word 'bomb' was written. There were some wires and a letter in Urdu attached to it.

The scared staff immediately informed the police who sought the help of dog and bomb disposal squads. The fear proved unfounded.

The GPO had received a similar parcel last month also, police said.
