Bharati Shipyard bags Rs 260 cr order

Mumbai, Jun 11 (UNI) Bharati Shipyard Ltd (BSL) has bagged a Rs 260 crore order to build two 150-tonne bollard pull Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTSV) from Norweigian Offshore Shipping.

AHTSV will function as a support and supply vessel in rig and anchor handling operations.

''The order reflects our unique expertise and the high confidence that we at BSL enjoy from our global customers. Our total order book now stands at Rs 3,723 crore, comprising of 41 vessels,'' said BSL MD P C Kapoor in a statement.

Established in 1973, BSL is a leading private sector shipyard in India designing and constructing various types of sea going, coastal harbour, and inland craft vessels.

BSL currently owns three shipyards located at Ghodbunder, Ratnagiri and Kolkata.

BSL order book, which is at around Rs 3,723.65 crore, mainly comprises offshore segments like AHTS, Offshore Service Vessels (OSVs) and Rigs, company sources, said.
