2 Maoist sympathisers held in AP
Visakhapatnam, June 11: Two CPI (Maoist) sympathisers who allegedly played a role in the May 29 killing of Zilla Parishad Vice-Chairman S Ravisankar in the agency area were arrested by the police here last night Police said here today, J Neelakantham (30) and K Somesh Kumar (20) of Paderu Mandal who had close ties with Maoists and passed information to them, were found carrying grenades,gelatine sticks and detonators during a vehicle check.
Meanwhile, CPI (Maoist) East Division Secretary Jagadish demanded the two be produced in a court and accused the police of harassing innocent tribals.
