Vadodara district gears up for monsoon

Vadodara, June 10 (UNI) The district administration has geared up to tackle any emergency arising during the monsoons this year and has constituted twelve rapid action teams for this purpose.

The district administration has been prompted to initiate these measures in order to avoid a repeat of the situation that the district had to face during the past two seasons.

District Development Officer R J Patel told UNI that each of the twelve rapid action teams will have three doctors and 21 staff and will have adequate medicines.

Besides, all taluka headquarters will have a 24-hour flood control room.
