TN: Police arrest 500 people in storming op

Chennai, June 10: The city police today arrested more than 500 people, in on operation to prevent crimes in the region.

The operation, headed by City Police Commissioner Letika Saran,was carried out by various teams across the city in the wake of recentincidents of murder and burglary.

Those arrested included 386 rowdies, 67 old criminals, 12 historysheeters evading the police dragnet and 38 others against whom arrestwarrents were pending, according to a police release here.
