Talking to reporters here, he said there was a possibility of snap polls in the state anytime now following dissensions with the Congress party.

Mr Dhumal was here for the first time after defeating state Forest Minister Ram Lal Thakur by over 80,000 votes in Hamirpur Parliamentary by-poll recently.

He said besides, the possibility of snap assembly polls, a change in state Congress leadership could not be ruled out as the Chief Minister was facing strong protest from within the party.

Referring to CD released by former Congress leader Vijai Singh Mankotia, he said since the corruption charges were of serious nature, they need to be probed by the CBI.

Dhumal lamented at the poor law and order situation in the state, rising prices of essential commodities and widespread corruption during the present state government and said this was the result of four years of its misrule.
