Rural Lok Adalat to be held on June 16

Chandigarh, June 10 (UNI) A Rural Lok Adalats would be organised at village Sajuma in district Kaithal on June 16 so as to provide an opportunity to the people to get their cases settled near their homes.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana State Legal Services Authority said that 179 cases were settled in the Lok Adalats held at Kaithal, Guhla and Dabwali yesterday.

These cases, included four of Motor Accident Claim Tribunal (MACT) pertaining to death or injury arising due to vehicular accidents and a sum of Rs 4.15 lakh was awarded as compensation in these cases.

He said that cases pertaining to other categories included civil, petty criminal and bank loan cases pending and at pre-litigative stage were also settled.
