Minister pleas for probe into ex-LS Speaker's death

Vijayawada,June 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister Koneru Ranga Rao today demanded a thorough probe by the Centre into the death of Former Lok Sabha Speaker G M C Balayogi who was killed in a helicopter crash in 2002.

Addressing pressperons here, the minister alleged an evangelist was behind the conspiracy. The previous NDA Government at the Centre had not acted properly in the matter.

A thorough probe now would bring out the role of the evangelist in 'whose chopper Mr Balayogi travelled on the fateful day.' He also came down heavily on the evangelist's allegations against Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi.

Meanwhile, All India Christian Council members and Dalit Christian leaders who participated in a conference condemned the allegations and recalled the evangelist's arrest in connection with a case.
