LJP MLA arrested for attempt on life, released on bail

Patna, Jun 10 (UNI) Police here today released Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) MLA Rama Singh.

The MLA from Mahnar in Vaishali district was arrested on charges of attempt on the life of a person near Chirayyatand overbridge under Kankarbagh police station area here yesterday.

According to the charges, Mr Singh was returning from his Assembly constituency late last night when his cab collided head on with an ambassador car near the overbridge.

Enraged over the issue, the MLA and his cab driver physically assaulted the driver of the car thereby causing him serious internal injuries.

However, the victim was rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital.
