Haryana police arrests man with opium and charas

Kaithal, June 10 (UNI) The district police have arrested a person from Guhna village who was carrying 680 gram Charas and 690 gram opium which he allegedly wanted to plant in the house of one of his relatives and get him arrested under the NDPS Act .

Giving this information to mediapersons today, SSP Navdeep Singh Virk said the police got a tip-off that Madan Lal of Dahola village of Jind district had gone to the house of Phool Singh of Guhna to plant some contraband as he had sour relations with him.

The police immediately swung into action and nabbed Madal Lal who was carrying a polythene bag and was about to enter the residence of Phool Singh and recovered the charas and opium from him.

Madal Lal was arrested under the NDPS Act.
