Govt keen on farmers welfare: Minister
Vijayawada, June 10 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government is committed to ensure the welfare of the farmers, says Major Irrigation Minister P Lakshmaiah.
After releasing Krishna water from Prakasam barrage to Krishna delta to cultiavate over 13 lakh acres of Rabri crop, the minister said the government was keen on the welfare of all farmers in the state especially of those in the delta districts.
The government had spent over Rs 35,000 crore for the construction of irrigataion projects as part of the 'Jalayagnam' programme, during the last three years, he added.
