Delhi sears at 44 degrees, weatherman says heat wave to abate
New Delhi, June 10 (UNI) Heat wave conditions continued in the Capital despite a fall in the temperature and scant clouds appearing on the horizon at intervals.
Even as maximum temperature for the day clocked 44.0 degree celsius, which was four degrees above normal and a degree below yesterday's 'peak of the season' 44.9 degrees, the weatherman predicted abating of the heat wave conditions in Delhi in coming days.
While the minimum temperature for the day was 34.0 degrees, five degrees above normal, humidity soared to a maximum of 50 per cent and a minimum of 30 per cent, according to the India Metrological Department (IMD).
''No rainfall was reported from anywhere in Delhi.'' The Met department predicts a mainly clear sky but dust storm is likely to appear either tonight or tomorrow in some parts of the Capital.
Monday's maximum temperature, will however, be around 43 degree celsius, it added.
