Constable, accomplice arrested for forging editor's signature
New Delhi, Jun 10 (UNI) A Delhi Police Constable was arrested for allegedly forging the signature of the editor of a national daily to get an out of turn allotment of accomodation.
Constable Sunil Kumar was arrested along with his accomplice Syed Nusrat Ali after the police verified a letter sent to the Police Commissioner seeking out of turn allotment of accomodation for the policeman, police said today.
The letter, sent on June 8 seeking accomodation in favour of the accused, with forged signatures and letterhead of the editor of the city's leading national daily had been addressed to Police Commissioner K K Paul.
Investigations are on, police added.
