BSP making space for SP goons in jail: Minister
Mahoba, June 10 (UNI) Launching a scatching attack on the Opposition Samajwadi Party, Uttar Pradesh Rural Development Minister Daddu Prasad today said the criminals associated with that party would soon be put behind bars.
''The era of 'goondaraj' will end soon to pave way for a crime free society. Law and order is the prime concern of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP),'' the minister said while addressing a Party meeting here.
He said anti-social elements associated with SP will be confined to jails. ''After the 4000 prisoners sentenced for petty offences are released, UP's jails would have enough space to accomodate the criminals associated with the previous regime,'' he added.
Last week Chief Minister Mayawati had announced release of over 4000 prisoners undergoing jail terms for small offences.
Exhorting party workers, he said achieving success in UP assembly election was not the last destination, as they still need to work hard to achieve power at the Centre and fulfill the dream of Chief Minister Mayawati.
