Bangla Telefilm Club to rejuvenate Bengali Film industry

Kolkata, Jun 10 (UNI) In a pioneering attempt, Assistant Film director in Tollywood, Arin Paul has started the Bangla Telefilm Club on May 13, which is to screen its second telefilm in the city today.

Bangla Telefilm Club is today the only club of its kind in India that was founded with the aim to promote Bangla (Bengali) telefilms among the masses.

The Bangla Telefilm Club which kick-started on May 13 with its humble inaugural show 'Sharatey Aaj', a telefilm by Parambrata Chattopadhyay, has turned two months today. The main motive behind the creation of such a club was to popularise telefilms among the Bengali masses, especially among the young who have the potential of breathing fresh air into the Bengali film industry.

Since May 13, the club screens telefilms every second Sunday of every month.
