'Alvarita' wins Fillies Trial Stakes

Bangalore, Jun 10 (UNI) Second favourite "Alvarita" ably ridden by C Alford won the Fillies Trial Stakes (Grade I), the main event of tenth day's Summer Meeting here today.

The winner is a joint property of Mr D Khaitan representing Soom Stud Farm Pvt Ltd. and Mr D A Nanda and Mrs Sheila Nanda Representing Arion Horse Co. Pvt and trained by Imtiaz Sait.

Trainer Arjun Mangalkar and jockey C Alford scored a brace each.

Only three favourites obliged in a card of nine events.
