Youth shot dead by suspected rival "criminal" group

Barrackpore, Jun 9 (UNI) A 22-year-old youth was shot dead near his house at Nayabasti of Kamarhati area under Khardah police station in North 24 Parganas late last night.

Police today said that the victim had a criminal background under different police stations in the district.

Police said that they recovered the body of Kausar Ali with bullet injuries and have sent for postmortem.

Police here suspected thst he might have been attacked by a rival group.

No one was arrested so far, police added.
