Woman dies of burns, father alleges dowry death

Gorakhpur, June 9 (UNI) A married woman died under mysterious circumstances in Chauri Chaura area of the district.

The victim's father Ramnath Vishwakarma has filed a case alleging his daughter Anshu, married three years back to Dev Dutt, was constantly harassed for dowry by her in-laws.

He alleged when Anshu could not fetch them money, she was burnt to death by Dev and his relatives late yesterday, police today said.

Investigations were on.
