Two persons held in credit card racket

Hubli, June 9 (UNI) Police have arrested two persons and recovered different banks credit cards, cash and gold ornaments from them in connection with credit card racket here.

Police today said the arrested, identified as Sayyad Saniulla Ismail Bhasha and Irayya Rudrayya Pujar.

Their modus operandi was to cheat the people by posing as bank representatives and collecting their credit cards on the pretext of servicing and renewing them.

Later, they would go on a buying spree purchasing gold ornaments and drawing cash from banks. It was suspected that some bank employees and marketing agents were also involved in the racket.
