Two persons arrested in credit card racket
Hubli, Jun 9 (UNI) Police have arrested two persons in a connection with credit card racket who allegedly involved in cheating people with their credit cards.
The police recovered credit cards of different banks, cash and gold ornaments from them. The arrested have been identified as Sayyad Saniulla Ismail Bhasha and Irayya Rudrayya Pujar.
Their modus operandi was to cheat the people by posing as bank representatives by collecting credit cards on the pretext of servicing and renewing them.
Later, they would go on a buying spree purchasing gold ornaments and drawing cash from the banks. It was suspected that some bank employees and marketing agents were involved in the racket. The police are investigating the crime.
