Police rescue girl

Hubli, June 9 (UNI) Gadag district police have busted a racket that involved in sale of young girls in Gujarat under the pretext of marriage.

Acting on a tip off police arrested four persons and rescued a young girl who was being taken to Gujarat to be married off.

Police arrested three residents of Jamanagar district in Gujarat-Shantibhai Dadam, Chaman Jadhav and Upendra Bhai besides Gadag resident Vasudev Hunsimarad while they were taking the girl against her wish to Gujarat yesterday.
