One die of sunstroke in MP town
Bhopal, June 9 (UNI) A man died due to sunstroke in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district even as heatwave condition prevailed in northern and eastern part of the state.
Ruran village-resident Hariom Narayan Vyas, a 'shikshakarmi' at a government primary school, had come for training in Bhind. He died because of the heat stroke.
Blistering heat swept across the state with maximum temperature touching 42-46 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature hovering around 26-36 degrees at several places.
Khajuraho, Naugaon and Datia recorded highest 46 degrees temperature.
A high of 45.7 degrees was recorded in Gwalior, followed by Satna 45.5, Rewa 44, Jabalpur 43, Bhopal 42.7 and Indore 41.5 degrees.
A regional meteorological spokesperson said the heatwave condition prevailed in Rewa, Jabalpur, Sagar, Bhopal and Ujjain divisions.
Showers accompanied with lightning were expected at isolated places in Jabalpur division in the next 24 hours.
