One dead, 11 injured in road accident

Barrackpore, Jun 9 (UNI) A 50-year old man was killed and 11 others injured in an accident involving four vehicles on the Kalyani Expressway at Saheb Bagan Crossing in North 24 Parganas district today, police said.

The injured, including three women, were admitted to the Naihati State General Hospital.

A small truck, a Tata Indica, a scooter and a van were involved in the accident, police said.

Police seized the vehicles.

The deceased was identified as Subhasis Pandey. Police has sent the body for post-mortem.
