One burnt alive in cracker factory fire

Rohtak, Jun 9 (UNI) One person was burnt alive and eight others, including three women, sustained burn injuries when a fire broke out in a cracker manufacturing unit here today.

The deceased was identified as Chotte Lal (25). The injured, three of them seriously, were admitted to the PGIMS here.

About a dozen fire tenders from Rohtak and adjoining districts were called to control the fire, the cause of which was being ascertained.

Deputy Commissioner R S Doon announced ex-gratia relief of Rs one lakh for the family of the deceased. The district administration will bear the expenditure on medical treatment of the injured.
